5 > 10…No I don’t need to go back to math class
Here is our quick topic for today: Five is greater than 10. You might be thinking, wow, maybe you should go back to math class!
But here’s what I’m thinking.
Five is greater than 10.
- Five quality leads or better than 10 So-So leads
- Five clear words are better than 10 rambling words.
- Five meaningful comments are better than 10 surface level comments.
- Five focused hours are better than 10 unfocused hours.
- Five relevant ideas are better than 10 irrelevant ideas.
So what’s the point? Why am I coming onto a podcast?
You’ve been waiting all week for this episode, and here it is. It’s a reminder that bigger isn’t always better. More is not always better.
In business, it’s all about quality. The quality of what you’re producing, the quality of the connections that you’re making, the quality of the journey your clients are going through.
It’s not about quantity.
You might be thinking, but yeah, it kind of is about the quantity because I need enough money. I need a quantity of money to make my business viable, but how that happens is through quality.
Five is greater than 10.

What I want you to do, I try to give you an action item each week. Think today when you find yourself getting wrapped up in comparisons or you find yourself thinking, but I just want more followers, more comments, more people on my email list, think about how you can focus on building quality. How can you serve the followers you have?
How can you create strength in your email list at the size that it’s already at? How can you create those quality connections that focus time in your schedule, ideas that support your business versus distract from your business? How can you say things as simply as possible? Five is greater than 10. I hope that this little reminder has been helpful in staying focused today as you continue to build your business.
